Sir Alexander Mackenzie Provincial Park / Bella Coola / Elco Harbor / Ocean Falls

“Stopping her forward momentum, Delphina let herself sink to the bottom of the bay. Once settled in, she slowed her heart to only a few beats a minute while she let the boat pass overhead.”

For those who don’t know, the park is an isolated location that can only be accessed by boat or a severe hike at the mouth of Elco Harbor. It is at this location, where Sir Alexander Mackenzie left his mark declaring the depth of his journey onto a stone that has stood the test of time. It can be reached from the occasional tour boat out of Bella Coola and/or Ocean Falls, British Columbia.
